Tolland Fire Department

Tolland Fire Department approached Eyeglue to help the local fire department recruitment a new generation of firefighters.

The determination was that the department wanted four, approximately 15 to 30-second ads to run on Facebook and Instagram during a push to recruit new firefighters. Eyeglue and Tolland Fire officials determined three aspects to demonstrate to show the department’s breadth. Two ads focused on fire suppression operations, one focused on the emergency medical services division, and one video featured the Holiday Tour that the department led each year to collect toys for their local community.

While Tolland Fire Department contracted Eyelgue to create 15-second ads, we had so much fantastic footage from the holiday tour, and learned so much about the story of the tradition, we pivoted with the client’s permission and created a one-minute video instead. The video, which featured Tolland Fire Department’s firefighters and EMTs collecting donations and interacting with community members during their annual holiday tour, amassed over 15,000 views and 225 shares organically on Facebook alone. (It was also one of the most magical things we’ve ever filmed!)
